Chicony Power Enters U.S. AI Server Supply Chain, Plans Q2 Product Sampling to Boost Second-Half Momentum

Chicony Power Technology, which has traditionally focused on notebook computer power supplies, has been pushing into the high-wattage power market with power supply units as AI servers consume more electricity. The company has entered the supply chain of a U.S. brand customer. Its non-notebook business could become its main growth engine this year, reducing its reliance on demand for traditional consumer electronics.

General Manager Tseng Kuo-hua said Chicony Power is targeting 20% growth in its AI power business this year and expects to submit related server power products for customer testing in the second quarter. As demand for AI applications and communications power supplies rises, the company expects order visibility and business momentum to strengthen further in the second half if customer validation and mass production proceed smoothly.
