2 reports · First detected 2026-07-02 · Last active 2026-07-03

Nasdaq-listed South Korean media company K Wave Media bought 88 bitcoin in July 2025 and set a target of holding 10,000, seeking to emulate Strategy's corporate reserve model. The company said it had access to as much as $1 billion in financing, comprising separate $500 million arrangements with Anson Funds and Bitcoin Strategic Reserve.

SEC filings show that the company sold 88 bitcoin on April 29, 2026, to repay about $6 million in debt, then sold its remaining balance on May 6. On June 30, it filed to raise up to $250 million and redirected the remaining $485 million available from Anson Funds toward AI data centers and GPU computing. It also plans to rename itself Talivar Technologies.
