Taiwan to Expand Kaohsiung Financial Innovation Model Nationwide
Taiwan’s Asian Asset Management Center special zone in Kaohsiung serves as a testing ground for financial innovation and the development of the island’s asset-management industry. The initiative is intended to strengthen capital markets, improve financial literacy and turn locally tested services and regulatory practices into a broader strategy for raising Taiwan’s competitiveness in international finance.
Premier Cho Jung-tai told a results press conference that the policy had moved beyond its “tangible results in two years” phase and entered a new “change in four years” milestone. The next stage will focus on making financial services more accessible, spreading innovation across Taiwan and building a stronger global presence, with experience developed in Kaohsiung to be expanded nationwide.
