Binance’s Yi He Raises User Ambition to 3 Billion

1 reports · First detected 2026-08-17 · Last active 2026-08-17

Binance, founded in 2017, has grown into one of the world’s largest cryptocurrency exchanges, placing its senior executives at the center of an industry facing rapid expansion and tighter regulatory scrutiny. Co-founder Yi He became co-chief executive in December 2025 alongside Richard Teng. A recent profile described the business as an $80 billion crypto empire, highlighting the scale of the platform and the operational demands attached to running it.

Yi offered a rare look at those demands in a vlog documenting a Hong Kong trip, saying she slept for only about three hours while moving through meetings, events and management duties. At the Hong Kong Web3 Festival on April 20, 2026, she said Binance had about 300 million users and raised its long-term target to 3 billion from 1 billion. Reaching that scale would require Binance to move beyond crypto trading and become global financial infrastructure spanning everyday payments, wealth management and round-the-clock asset transactions, she said.

Binance Sets 3 Billion User Target, Bets on AI to Advance Financial Equality2026-06-25 · 4 reports · similarity 0.81

Binance co-CEOs Yi He and Richard Teng said the platform currently has about 310 million users and aims to expand that figure to 3 billion over the long term, equivalent to more than one-third of the world’s population. Binance has also made AI a core strategy for the next five years, hoping to reduce information asymmetry in financial markets and give retail investors fairer access to financial services.

At Binance Online 2026, the two co-CEOs outlined the company’s short- and medium-term plans. Binance intends to expand its product lineup to include stock and precious metals trading in 2026 while continuing to strengthen its crypto asset services. Under its roadmap through 2030, the platform plans to use product expansion and AI applications to grow its user base from 310 million to 3 billion.
