SAS Marks 50th Anniversary With Focus on Enterprise AI Deployment and Trusted Architecture
Founded in 1976, SAS began as a provider of enterprise analytics and decision-making software and marks its 50th anniversary in 2026. As generative AI rapidly enters corporate workflows, model hallucinations, regulatory compliance and decision traceability have become barriers to adoption. SAS advocates combining large language models with deterministic logic to build governable and verifiable enterprise AI architectures.
At its 50th-anniversary event in Dallas, SAS unveiled its latest AI strategy, placing “trustworthy AI” at the center of its enterprise plans. It also introduced SAS AI Navigator, a governance tool for evaluating and managing different AI models. SAS is integrating these capabilities into its decisioning platform to help companies expand AI beyond isolated proofs of concept and into full-scale production.
