Cursor 3.1 Launches Canvas for AI-Generated Interactive React Interfaces
Cursor is a development tool that uses AI agents to help write, modify and understand code. Agents previously returned results mainly as text, code or diffs. Version 3.1 adds Canvas, which turns their output into interactive React interfaces, helping developers review data, validate results and take follow-up actions more quickly.
Cursor 3.1 formally introduces Canvas, allowing AI agents to generate charts, tables, diffs and interactive React interfaces with custom logic. Skills can also extend how results are presented. The update adds split panes that allow multiple agents to work in parallel, making it easier for developers to track different tasks and outputs simultaneously.
