OSL Secures Dedicated SWIFT BIC to Speed Fiat-Crypto Settlement

1 reports · First detected 2026-08-05 · Last active 2026-08-05

Hong Kong-licensed digital-asset platform OSL Group has been building infrastructure linking conventional banking rails with blockchain-based payments. Its enterprise U.S. dollar stablecoin, USDGO, was launched on Feb. 10, 2026, and is issued by Anchorage Digital Bank N.A. The remaining bottleneck for institutions is often the fiat leg, where correspondent banks, fragmented transaction references and limited visibility can slow transfers between bank accounts and digital assets.

OSL said in August 2026 it had obtained a dedicated SWIFT Business Identifier Code, or BIC, giving banks and institutional clients a clearer identifier for routing and tracking payment messages. The arrangement is intended to reduce friction when moving funds among fiat currencies, digital assets and USDGO. The stablecoin debuted with $50 million minted and exceeded $500 million in circulation by mid-June, adding urgency to OSL’s effort to improve cross-border settlement and on- and off-ramp efficiency.
