Taiwan, India’s IFSCA Sign Fintech Cooperation Pact

1 reports · First detected 2026-08-28 · Last active 2026-08-28

Taiwan’s Financial Supervisory Commission has established a formal fintech cooperation framework with India’s International Financial Services Centres Authority, or IFSCA. The Indian regulator oversees financial products, services and institutions operating in the country’s international financial services centre. The pact is significant because it gives regulators and fintech firms a clearer channel for cross-border dialogue, innovation and potential market access.

The FSC and IFSCA recently signed the agreement, creating mechanisms for regulatory referrals and information sharing between the two authorities. The framework is intended to help eligible fintech businesses connect with the other jurisdiction’s regulator while supporting exchanges on policy and supervisory practices. The announcement disclosed no financial value, exact signing date or quantified business targets for the partnership.
