Taiwan Leads Eight Digital Firms to Japan, Secures ITEC Partnership

1 reports · First detected 2026-08-19 · Last active 2026-08-19

Taiwan’s Administration for Digital Industries, under the Ministry of Digital Affairs, led the delegation as part of a broader push to export the island’s artificial intelligence, data analytics and digital-transformation capabilities. Japan is a strategically important market because its established retail and enterprise sectors offer potential deployment opportunities, while local partners can help Taiwanese platform providers navigate customer acquisition, systems integration and market localization.

The delegation comprised eight Taiwanese companies, including Turn Cloud Technology and Vpon Big Data Group, and held business-matching sessions aimed at strengthening links between the Taiwanese and Japanese digital ecosystems. The trip produced a memorandum of understanding between Turn Cloud Technology and ITEC, a company affiliated with the Hankyu Hanshin group. Officials did not disclose the signing date, financial terms or projected business value, leaving commercial deployment and follow-on contracts as the next measures of progress.
