BNY Names Julie Gerdeman to Lead Global Payments and Trade Platform

BNY’s Global Payments and Trade, or GP&T, client platform supports services used by companies and financial institutions to manage payments, liquidity and trade-related activity. Leadership of the platform is strategically important as large banks invest in data, technology and integrated infrastructure to modernize transaction banking and improve how clients access products across markets.

BNY said in August 2026 that Julie Gerdeman will become global head of the GP&T client platform, succeeding Carl Slabicki, who is moving to lead the business function. Gerdeman previously headed BNY’s Data and Analytics client platform and brings more than 20 years of technology experience, which the bank expects her to apply to the platform’s continued development.
