FinTechSpace Deepens Thailand Ties at Money20/20 Asia
FinTechSpace, established by the Taiwan Financial Services Roundtable under the guidance of the Financial Supervisory Commission, connects startups with regulators, financial institutions and investors. The Bangkok mission matters because Thailand is being positioned as a gateway for Taiwanese fintech companies seeking to enter Southeast Asia, where local testing facilities, procurement channels and ecosystem partners can help reduce regulatory and commercial barriers to expansion.
On May 4, 2026, FinTechSpace said it had led nine Taiwanese startups to Bangkok for Money20/20 Asia, held April 21-23, after staging Taiwan FinTech Day on April 20. The hub signed a memorandum of understanding with True Digital Park, or TDPK, and met Thailand’s Digital Economy Promotion Agency, known as depa. Thai incentives include investment and grants of as much as 5 million baht, capital-gains tax relief, sandbox access at Thailand Digital Valley and rent-free space for up to three years.
