FinTech Wales Membership Hits 200 as Foreign Firms Expand
Founded in 2019, FinTech Wales is a not-for-profit membership association serving the country’s fintech and financial-services industry. Its 2024/25 Annual Report, published on Dec. 4, 2025, said Welsh fintech companies had raised more than £20 million during 2025, including a £5 million seed round for Burbank’s Card Present over Internet payment technology. The figures underscored the sector’s investment resilience and capacity to produce commercially significant innovation.
FinTech Wales said on March 30, 2026, that membership had reached 200, with recent additions spanning AI, data, payments and investment-research technology. Paris-based Lideflow, Mauritius-based The Cloud Factory and Canada’s Sibli are expanding in Wales, while UK companies including My Time Pension and DataWollet are growing in South Wales. The association will hold the inaugural Welsh Fintech Festival on June 3 at Swansea Building Society Arena.
