Stripe Becomes Ryder Cup’s Worldwide Payments Partner
Founded in 1927, the Ryder Cup is a biennial match-play contest featuring 12 leading professional golfers from the United States against 12 from Europe. The event draws millions of viewers and hundreds of thousands of spectators, creating a complex payments environment spanning tickets, hospitality, food and beverages, merchandise and retail. Bringing Stripe into the top tier of sponsors underscores how major sports properties are turning to integrated digital infrastructure to streamline transactions and financial reporting.
Ryder Cup Europe and the PGA of America said on July 22, 2026, that Stripe had become a Worldwide Partner and the Official Payment Solutions Partner for the 2027 contest at Adare Manor in Limerick, Ireland, and the 2029 event at Hazeltine National Golf Club in Minnesota. The 2027 tournament is scheduled for Sept. 13-19. Stripe will support a unified checkout for tickets and hospitality, one-click payments through Stripe Link, local payment methods and on-site transactions through Stripe Terminal. Financial terms were not disclosed.
