Quantinuum Weighs IPO Price Increase, Valuation Could Reach $14 Billion
Quantinuum was formed through the combination of Honeywell’s quantum computing unit and Cambridge Quantum. Its business spans quantum hardware, software and applications, and it is backed by companies including NVIDIA and Honeywell. A successful listing would make it the world’s first full-stack quantum computing company to go public through a traditional IPO and provide a key test of the capital market’s confidence in quantum commercialization.
Quantinuum’s Nasdaq IPO has reportedly been oversubscribed by a double-digit multiple, prompting the company to consider raising its offer price by about 10%. That could lift its valuation beyond the level initially planned to as much as $14 billion. The company expects to list on June 4, but the final offer price, proceeds and valuation remain subject to pricing and a formal announcement.
