Bitcoin Mining Pool Parasite Successfully Mines Its Second Block
Parasite is a Bitcoin mining pool designed for home and small-scale miners, aiming to lower the barriers to earning mining rewards in an industry dominated by large operators. Under its hybrid “plebs eat first” payout model, the miner who finds a block receives 1 BTC before the remaining reward is distributed according to hashrate. Payments are made fee-free through the Lightning Network.
On Friday, Parasite successfully mined Bitcoin block 945,601, its second block since the pool launched about 48 days earlier. The miner who found the block receives 1 BTC directly, while other participants share the remaining proceeds under the hybrid model. The result also shows that aggregating the hashrate of home miners can still yield block rewards.
