Klarna Expands in Furniture Market With Flexible Payments for Article Shoppers
Furniture purchases typically involve high prices and long decision-making periods, making installment plans an important way for BNPL providers to increase transaction volume by reducing customers’ upfront costs. Klarna says home furnishings are among its fastest-growing categories in North America. PYMNTS research also shows that high-income households spend 40% more through BNPL than lower-income households.
Klarna and modern furniture brand Article announced a partnership on February 23, 2026, introducing flexible payments for online checkout in the United States and Canada. Customers can pay in full, split purchases into 4 interest-free installments or apply for longer-term financing on higher-value orders. The companies did not disclose the transaction value, qualifying order thresholds, financing terms or interest rates.
