Taipei Offers Young Adults Up to NT$8,000 for AI Subscriptions
Taipei City Government’s Youth Department is launching a subsidy program to help eligible residents aged 18 to 35 cover the cost of generative AI subscriptions. The initiative is designed to lower access barriers and encourage young adults to use AI in education, job searches and career development. Designated services include widely used tools such as ChatGPT, Claude and Gemini.
Applications will open on Aug. 1, 2026, and close on Oct. 31, with all required materials due by Nov. 10. Eligible applicants may receive up to NT$4,000 ($123) per person annually for qualifying subscription expenses, while those from low-income households can claim as much as NT$8,000. Final awards will be based on eligible costs approved under the program.
