Amazon Sellers Embrace AI Tools to Boost Sales and Cut Costs
Amazon's marketplace relies on independent sellers to expand its product selection, but creating product pages, managing inventory and developing operating strategies can require substantial labor. Generative AI can organize product information automatically and offer decision-making guidance. Its adoption therefore affects not only small and midsize sellers' costs but also the platform's transaction growth and competitiveness.
Amazon said in a 2025 report that its AI seller assistant had more than 230,000 monthly active users and that sellers adopted 90% of its recommendations. That year, its generative AI product-listing tools also significantly reduced the time needed to create high-quality pages, helping independent sellers save time and operating costs while improving sales performance.
