The appointment comes as the fintech company expands its products and client network, making finance leadership increasingly important to maintaining operating discipline and supporting growth. Bhat brings more than two decades of experience spanning strategic planning, corporate finance and capital markets at public and private-sector organizations.

Capitolis said on July 27, 2026, that Ashwath Bhat will become chief financial officer effective Aug. 3 and report to founder and Chief Executive Officer Gil Mandelzis. Bhat most recently served as CFO of AI and analytics company Fractal, where he helped lead its February 2026 initial public offering, after more than a decade in senior finance roles at Nielsen. He succeeds Lindsey Baptiste Fiedler, who has led Capitolis’ finance function since 2020 and will remain as an adviser during the transition.
