Nvidia Teams Up With Cybersecurity Giants to Bring AI to Critical Infrastructure Protection

As energy, manufacturing and transportation systems become increasingly connected to the cloud, the attack surface for industrial control systems (ICS) is expanding, with breaches potentially affecting physical equipment and public services. Nvidia is combining its technology with the cybersecurity and industrial expertise of Akamai, Palo Alto Networks and Siemens to bring AI-accelerated computing to critical infrastructure protection.

The latest collaboration focuses on using Nvidia accelerated computing and artificial intelligence to strengthen real-time threat detection. It also integrates Akamai’s cloud security, Palo Alto Networks’ cybersecurity platform and Siemens’ industrial systems capabilities. As of the publication of the related reports, the companies had not disclosed the value of the partnership, a formal launch date or the scale of deployment.
