E.SUN Bank, Taipei City Hospital Launch ‘Financial Prescription’ to Combat Fraud

Taiwan’s elderly population and people with dementia face risks from scams, unauthorized card transactions and improper asset transfers, while medical care alone cannot safeguard their wealth. E.SUN Bank and Taipei City Hospital have therefore formed a cross-sector partnership linking medical assessments with financial safeguards, helping patients and their families manage bank accounts, credit cards and trust arrangements at an earlier stage.

After assessing the needs of elderly patients or those with dementia, Taipei City Hospital can refer them to E.SUN Bank through the “Financial Prescription” program. The bank can then put safeguards on accounts and credit cards and arrange property trusts, creating multiple layers of asset protection. As of July 20, 2026, available information did not disclose a formal launch date, the value of the partnership or the number of eligible participants.
