Eclipse Bank Picks Lumin Digital for Cloud Banking Upgrade

2 reports · First detected 2026-09-15 · Last active 2026-09-17

Eclipse Bank, a wholly owned subsidiary of Eclipse Bancorp, is a U.S. community lender founded in 2005. It operates three banking centers in Louisville, Kentucky, and one in Johnson City, Tennessee, serving commercial, retail and private-banking clients. Its selection of Lumin Digital underscores how smaller lenders are turning to cloud-native infrastructure to narrow the digital-service gap with larger rivals, preserve relationship-based banking and gain flexibility to add products and integrations as customer expectations evolve.

Lumin Digital said on Sept. 15, 2026, that Eclipse Bank had selected it as the bank’s new digital-banking provider. Eclipse will deploy Lumin’s cloud-native platform across online and mobile channels, aiming to give retail and commercial customers a more consistent, personalized experience and speed the addition of new capabilities and connected services. The companies did not disclose the contract value or an implementation timetable. The deal follows Lumin’s July funding round of more than $115 million, which valued the banking-technology provider at $1.6 billion.

Lumin Digital provides digital banking technology to banks and credit unions, helping financial institutions operate mobile and online services. The client-backed financing underscores a broader shift in financial technology: lenders are increasingly looking to established software providers to deploy artificial intelligence and modernize customer services, while taking a direct financial stake in platforms central to their digital strategies.

Lumin Digital said in July 2026 that it secured $70 million in new investment from bank and credit union clients using its services, valuing the company at $1.6 billion. The digital banking provider said the capital would support its digital development goals. It did not disclose the participating institutions, their individual commitments or additional transaction terms in the event information.
