JKO Pay Chairman Open-Sources doc-cleaner for Financial Files
Financial statements and spreadsheets often become difficult for artificial-intelligence systems to process because complex layouts, font encoding and tables can produce garbled text or misplaced fields. JKO Pay Chairman Mei Hua has introduced doc-cleaner for traditional Chinese financial documents, aiming to turn such files into structured data that AI agents can read more reliably while supporting privacy-sensitive workflows.
Mei recently released doc-cleaner as open-source software on GitHub. The tool converts PDF and Excel files into structured Markdown, can run entirely offline and supports integration with locally hosted AI models, reducing the need to transmit sensitive financial information to external services. The report did not specify an exact release date, software version, transaction value or other monetary amount.
