Secret Network Proposes Arbitrum Migration, Citing AI Risks
Secret Network is a blockchain focused on privacy-preserving smart contracts, with its current architecture built in the Cosmos ecosystem. As AI tools reduce the cost of scanning legacy code and finding and exploiting vulnerabilities, the security burden of maintaining existing systems is rising. A move to Ethereum Layer 2 Arbitrum would also provide access to its liquidity, developer tools and application ecosystem.
As of July 20, 2026, Secret Network had proposed migrating its platform from Cosmos to Arbitrum, citing risks from AI-accelerated exploitation of vulnerabilities and a desire to broaden its ecosystem connections. Public information has not disclosed a voting deadline, a formal migration timetable or a related budget. The plan still requires approval through the community governance process.
