Velatir Raises €5 Million to Expand AI Infrastructure Across Europe

Velatir is a Danish enterprise AI infrastructure startup that helps companies identify which AI tools employees use and place governance, traceability and compliance controls around those workflows. The proposition is gaining importance as generative AI spreads through organizations faster than internal oversight, creating “shadow AI” risks. For European businesses, the need is sharper as they balance productivity gains with data protection and emerging AI regulation.

Velatir said on Aug. 20, 2026, that it raised €5 million in seed funding in a round co-led by Spintop Ventures and Ugly Duckling Ventures, with Norrsken Evolve participating. The company plans to use the capital to accelerate its European expansion, strengthen its platform and open additional locations. The financing gives Velatir fresh resources to pursue companies seeking clearer oversight of AI use across their workforces.
