Interactive Brokers Integrates Three Major AI Platforms for Agentic Trading and Options Allocation
Interactive Brokers first integrated Anthropic's Claude on June 1, 2026, allowing clients to use natural-language prompts to check positions, margin and market data and generate trading instructions. The move brings large language models into brokerage accounts spanning more than 170 global markets, with AI assisting research and portfolio allocation while investors retain final decision-making authority. The integration costs an additional $0 and requires no separate account.
On June 22, 2026, Interactive Brokers added OpenAI's ChatGPT and xAI's Grok, creating a lineup of three major AI platforms alongside Claude. Clients can now generate instructions for options, futures and futures options as well as stocks and ETFs. They can also review options chains, risk exposure and multi-currency balances, but every AI-generated instruction must be personally reviewed and confirmed in IBKR's “AI Instructions” tab before it is sent to the market.
