Access Protocol Asia-Pacific Head Leo Wong Discusses Seamless Web3 Adoption and Content Monetisation

Built on the Solana blockchain, Access Protocol replaces conventional paid subscriptions with staking of its ACS token, allowing creators to earn content revenue through an onchain mechanism. Leo Wong, the protocol’s Asia-Pacific head, said broader Web3 adoption depends not on emphasising the technology but on using mobile apps to lower barriers involving wallets, tokens and user interactions, allowing mainstream users to get started seamlessly.

In a recent interview, Wong said Access Protocol was expanding in Asia-Pacific with product designs aligned with everyday user habits, though the report did not specify the interview date. At the time of the interview, more than 370 creators had joined the platform, generating over $8 million in cumulative onchain subscription value. The figures indicate that the ACS staking model has achieved an initial level of scale in content monetisation.
