Cytix Raises $7 Million to Tackle AI-Driven Code Risk
Manchester-based Cytix, founded in 2022, monitors software tickets, code changes, deployments and releases to determine when security review or testing is required. Its pitch has gained urgency as AI-assisted development increases the volume and pace of code entering production, widening the gap between continuous delivery and periodic penetration tests. The platform also creates an evidence trail for security, risk and compliance teams, a key requirement for companies in regulated industries.
Cytix said on August 12, 2026, that it raised $7 million in a Series A round led by Northern Gritstone. Existing investors Auriga Cyber Ventures and NPIF II–PXN Equity Finance also participated, while the company did not disclose a valuation. The funding will accelerate the platform’s rollout and help Cytix reach more enterprise and regulated customers, including through managed-service relationships with NCC Group and KPMG. Cytix previously raised £1.6 million in September 2024.
