CORA Group Relaunches Phoenix Core as PhoenixWorx
Core banking systems maintain account, deposit and transaction records, making them critical infrastructure that lenders rarely replace quickly. CORA Group, part of Jonas Software within Canada’s Constellation Software, acquired Finastra’s U.S. mid-market banking business on June 3, 2026. The portfolio included Phoenix Core Banking System, Malauzai Digital Banking, Analyzer IQ and Enterprise Content Management. The purchase price was not disclosed.
CORA relaunched the established Phoenix platform as PhoenixWorx on September 14, 2026, positioning the bundled, cloud-based offering for U.S. community banks and credit unions. The vendor says it serves more than 200 organizations through an ecosystem of over 130 partners. Three days earlier, the Federal Reserve, FDIC, OCC and NCUA proposed revised third-party risk-management guidance, while the Fed, FDIC and OCC separately clarified their risk-based supervision of core providers.
