Anthropic Unveils Zero-Trust Framework for Enterprise AI Agents

1 reports · First detected 2026-06-02 · Last active 2026-06-02

Anthropic has introduced a zero-trust security framework to address the access-control and cybersecurity risks companies face after deploying AI agents. Its core principle is to “assume breach” and never trust an agent merely because it operates inside an internal system, limiting damage from credential leaks, unauthorized actions and tool misuse.

As of July 20, 2026, Anthropic’s framework comprises three levels based on organizational maturity: foundational, enterprise and advanced. It covers agent identity, sandboxed execution environments, least-privilege access controls and anomaly detection, helping companies respond to AI-accelerated attacks and emerging agent-based threats.
