MoonPay Brings Crypto Purchases to ChatGPT, Supporting Bitcoin, XRP, Solana and More Than 100 Assets

MoonPay, a payments provider that converts fiat currency into crypto assets, has previously integrated its service into wallets including MetaMask. Its latest integration with OpenAI's ChatGPT Apps lets users move from researching a cryptocurrency to buying it. The move turns the chat interface into an on-ramp for crypto, though MoonPay still executes the transactions and ChatGPT does not hold users' assets.

MoonPay launched its dedicated app on May 22, 2026. Users can specify a cryptocurrency and a U.S. dollar amount in a conversation, receive a checkout link, and then complete KYC, connect a wallet and make payment on moonpay.com. The service covers more than 100 assets, including Bitcoin, XRP, Ethereum, Solana and USDC, across more than 30 blockchains and over 160 countries. It supports credit cards, Apple Pay and bank transfers.
