Anbao Energy Pivots to Power-System Integration to Tap AI Data Center Demand

1 reports · First detected 2026-05-27 · Last active 2026-05-27

The expansion of AI data centers and semiconductor plants has made stable power supplies, millisecond-level switching and low-carbon energy critical to deploying computing capacity. Anbao Energy once focused on backup generators, which accounted for more than 90% of its business a decade ago. That share has now fallen below 50% as the company integrates UPS systems, behind-the-meter energy storage and control systems into comprehensive power architectures.

On May 27, 2026, Anbao Energy Chairman Chen Chih-fu said the company was developing prefabricated, modular solutions and participating in a pilot project for a Kaohsiung computing center. It is also expanding into fuel cells, natural-gas cogeneration and microgrids. On May 28, the company said its order backlog exceeded NT$12 billion, up nearly 50% from the end of 2025, and outlined plans for a second Tainan plant and a presence in Pingtung Science Park.
