Taiwan Forum Focuses on Stablecoins and On-Chain Finance Transition
Stablecoins, whose value is pegged to fiat currencies or other assets, are expanding beyond crypto trading into cross-border payments, corporate treasury management and on-chain finance. The Taiwan Digital Asset Forum views stablecoins as potential infrastructure for the digital economy. Although Taiwan is not an early mover in the market, it could still seize opportunities arising from the fintech transition by aligning its regulatory, accounting and corporate governance frameworks.
The forum recently focused on the growing use of stablecoins to accelerate on-chain capital flows. Industry participants urged Taiwan to promote corporate and digital finance applications while strengthening regulation, accounting treatment and risk governance. Available information about the event did not disclose the forum’s exact date, the organizer’s full name, participating companies, investment amounts or transaction volumes. Quantitative results have yet to be released.
