1 reports · First detected 2026-05-14 · Last active 2026-05-14

Goldman Sachs Group announced One Goldman Sachs 3.0 in the third quarter of 2025, a companywide overhaul using AI to reshape repetitive processes such as client onboarding, lending, regulatory reporting and vendor management. The multiyear initiative will be key to the bank's ability to increase processing capacity without adding staff. Goldman has not disclosed how much it is investing in the project.

On May 12, 2026, Goldman President and Chief Operating Officer John Waldron said digital agents would serve as the robots in the bank's “human assembly line,” automating back-office work and supporting growth at scale. Goldman employed about 47,000 people at the end of March, broadly unchanged from the end of 2025. First-quarter operating expenses rose 14% from a year earlier to $10.426 billion.
