Zilch Adds Membership Tiers, Salary Advances and Longer Instalments
London-based Zilch, launched in 2020, combines buy-now-pay-later credit, debit-style payments and rewards through an app and Visa-backed card. The move into paid memberships and longer instalment plans broadens its pitch beyond short-term BNPL, positioning the platform as a more comprehensive tool for everyday spending and cash-flow management as fintech companies compete with banks and card issuers for primary customer relationships.
Zilch has introduced Zilch Extra at £2.99 a month and Zilch Plus at £3.99, with the former using Open Banking for income verification and personalised offers and the latter providing richer rewards. It is also adding Zilch Advance, an Open Banking-based salary-advance service, and Pay Monthly for eligible purchases of at least £75. Customers can spread payments over three, six or 12 months, subject to eligibility and applicable fees. Version 3.0 of the membership terms took effect in April 2026.
