3 reports · First detected 2026-03-27 · Last active 2026-03-28

NEXT BANK began operations on March 29, 2022, and is one of Taiwan's three online-only banks. Over four years, it has gradually expanded beyond deposits and payments into nine major financial services, including foreign exchange, funds, insurance and mortgages. Its ability to broaden its customer base and improve profitability will be an important test of the online-only banking business model.

Chairman Kuo Shui-yi said at the bank's fourth-anniversary event that he was confident NEXT BANK would swing to a profit in 2027, adding that it had begun planning for an initial public offering. The bank will continue developing its nine major financial services and expanding its operating scale before advancing its listing plans once profitability and capital-market conditions are favorable.
