Tarabut Secures $50 Million to Expand Saudi Embedded Finance
Founded in 2017 by Abdulla Almoayed, Tarabut operates regulated financial infrastructure across Saudi Arabia, the UAE and Bahrain, linking banks, distributors and consumers. The company has expanded from open banking into embedded finance, payments and credit decisioning. Its platform lets lenders supplement static documents with permissioned, real-time cash-flow data, a model aimed particularly at speeding access to credit for small and medium-sized businesses and harder-to-assess consumers.
Tarabut said on Sept. 9, 2026, that it secured $50 million, or 187 million Saudi riyals, in strategic financing from Riyad Bank, the X-Tech Fund managed by SAB Invest, GIB Saudi Arabia, Zamil Group and Kanoo Ventures, part of Yusuf bin Ahmed Kanoo Group. The company, which has processed more than 5 billion API calls, will use the capital to deepen its Saudi presence and combine verification, decisioning and financing in end-to-end embedded journeys. The transaction remains subject to regulatory approvals, including from the Saudi Central Bank.
