Kraken Adds S&P 500 Perpetual to Funded Trading Program
Kraken launched Kraken Prop on May 27, 2026, offering traders access to company-funded capital after they pass an evaluation in a simulated account. The program debuted with more than 60 cryptocurrency markets and six account tiers ranging from $5,000 to $200,000, while funded traders can retain as much as 90% of profits. Adding a major US equity benchmark broadens Kraken’s push to combine digital assets and traditional markets on one trading platform.
Kraken added an S&P 500 perpetual contract to Kraken Prop on Aug. 12, 2026, giving participants leveraged exposure to the US equity benchmark 24 hours a day, seven days a week. The non-expiring instrument uses an oracle-based index for reference pricing, allowing trading to continue when US cash equity markets are closed. Kraken said commodities would be added next as the funded trading program develops into a broader multi-asset offering.
