UniCredit Poland Taps Flagright for Financial Crime Compliance
UniCredit, the Italy-based banking group with operations across 18 European countries, is strengthening compliance controls at its Polish business as digital banking activity expands. Financial institutions face growing pressure to detect money laundering and other illicit behavior while producing consistent, auditable decisions. A unified platform can replace fragmented tools for customer due diligence, transaction surveillance and investigations, helping compliance teams respond faster while preserving the governance and explainability regulators expect.
UniCredit’s Polish unit said on July 23, 2026, that it selected Flagright’s AI operating system for financial-crime compliance. The platform will combine customer screening, risk scoring, real-time monitoring of monetary and non-monetary activity, and case management in one operating layer. It also includes configurable controls, quality assurance, audit logs, notifications and advanced workflows. Flagright says its technology is used in more than 30 countries. The companies did not disclose the contract value or a deployment timetable.
