SoftBank Prepares AI and Robotics Venture Roze for U.S. Listing

2 reports · First detected 2026-04-30 · Last active 2026-04-30

SoftBank Group is shifting its investment focus from telecommunications and venture capital toward AI infrastructure, with plans to consolidate robotics, data centers, energy and land assets under Roze. The venture builds on Masayoshi Son’s bets on OpenAI and the $500 billion Stargate project. It is also central to how the group plans to finance tens of billions of dollars in investment.

The Financial Times reported on April 30 that Roze could list in the United States as early as the second half of 2026 and is eyeing a valuation of up to $100 billion. Reuters reported on May 26 that SoftBank had hired Goldman Sachs, JPMorgan, Mizuho and Morgan Stanley to prepare the IPO, which could launch as early as September. SoftBank has yet to respond formally.
