Trump Unveils First PCAST Appointments, Tapping Leading AI and Tech Executives

The President’s Council of Advisors on Science and Technology, or PCAST, is a White House body that advises the U.S. president on technology policy. President Donald Trump reorganized it by executive order on January 23, 2025, with a remit spanning AI, semiconductors, the economy and national security. The large contingent of corporate leaders reflects the industry’s growing influence over policies involving technology investment, workforce transformation and U.S. competitiveness.

The White House announced the first 13 members on March 25, 2026, naming David Sacks and White House Office of Science and Technology Policy Director Michael Kratsios as co-chairs. The appointees include Sergey Brin, Larry Ellison, Jensen Huang, Lisa Su and Mark Zuckerberg. PCAST may have up to 24 members, with the remaining appointments and the date of its first meeting to be announced later.
