Baillie Gifford Teams Up With BNY on Tokenized Fund for Solana and Ethereum
Baillie Gifford, founded in 1908 and managing about $260 billion in assets, is directly tokenizing interests in a traditional fund rather than adding a digital wrapper to an existing product. The blockchain also serves as the official register of holders, showing how regulated asset management is moving issuance and settlement onto public blockchains.
Baillie Gifford launched the U.S. dollar-denominated Enhanced Yield Fund (BAGEY) on June 22, 2026, issuing it on Ethereum and Solana with a minimum investment of $100. The portfolio offers a yield of about 7%, a two-year duration and an average credit rating of BBB. BNY provides the tokenization and wallet infrastructure, while NatWest serves as custodian.
