Coinbase Targets 200 Staff in Singapore Expansion

Singapore serves as a strategic cryptocurrency hub for Coinbase as the U.S. exchange expands its presence in Asia. Building local engineering, customer support and institutional sales capacity would strengthen product operations and services for both retail users and large clients, underscoring the company’s continued investment in priority markets despite the crypto industry’s cyclical volatility.

Coinbase plans to increase staffing at its Singapore office to about 200 employees by the end of 2026, from roughly 150 currently. The expansion would add around 50 positions, with hiring focused on engineers, customer service staff and institutional sales representatives. The planned recruitment is intended to deepen the exchange’s operational footprint and institutional business in the city-state.
