ShinyHunters Claims Theft of Vast Troves of Instructure and NVIDIA User Data
Instructure develops Canvas, an online learning platform used by schools, teachers and students, while NVIDIA GeForce NOW is a cloud gaming service. Both hold large volumes of account-identifying information. Leaked names and email addresses could be used for phishing, impersonation and account takeovers, drawing cybersecurity attention to ShinyHunters’ claims.
As of July 20, 2026, ShinyHunters claimed to have stolen a combined hundreds of millions of user records from systems linked to Instructure and NVIDIA, including names and email addresses. Instructure confirmed it had been attacked and launched an investigation. NVIDIA said the impact was limited to a specific partner system and has not confirmed a broader compromise of its core platform.
