Anchorage Builds AI Agent Banking Platform With KYA Controls
AI agents will need dedicated bank accounts to make payments, manage funds and execute trades with limited human intervention, according to Anchorage Digital. Such infrastructure would extend conventional banking controls to autonomous software, addressing identity, authorization and accountability as financial institutions prepare for a more automated transaction environment resembling the futuristic world depicted in “The Jetsons.”
Anchorage Digital’s chief executive said the institution has built an agent banking platform designed to support AI-driven payments and financial transactions. The system includes a “Know Your Agent,” or KYA, mechanism intended to identify and govern autonomous agents using financial services. The latest report did not disclose a launch date, investment amount, customer count or transaction volume for the platform.
