NVIDIA, Unitree Launch H2 Plus Humanoid Robotics Platform in Physical AI Push

NVIDIA is extending generative AI beyond data centers into “physical AI” systems capable of perceiving, reasoning and taking action, targeting a robotics market potentially worth tens of trillions of dollars. Chinese startup Unitree is known for its low-cost humanoid robots, and the partnership could lower the barriers for research institutions and developers seeking to build hardware, models and simulation environments.

NVIDIA CEO Jensen Huang announced the H2 Plus, the companies’ first humanoid robot AI platform, at the GTC conference. Built around Unitree’s H2 hardware, the platform integrates the NVIDIA Jetson Thor computing platform and Isaac GR00T foundation model for robotics. It allows developers to train, simulate and deploy robotic applications within a single architecture, accelerating the commercial rollout of physical AI.
