LandMark Optoelectronics Signs Four-Year AI Data Center Laser Supply Deal
LandMark Optoelectronics supplies indium phosphide-based components used in optical communications, including continuous-wave lasers that serve as light sources in high-speed transceivers. Demand for these products is rising as artificial intelligence and high-performance computing drive heavier traffic between data-center servers. Securing indium phosphide substrates and adding production capacity are therefore critical for suppliers seeking to fulfill sustained orders from cloud and networking customers.
The Taiwan-based company said it signed a four-year supply agreement with a U.S. customer for continuous-wave laser products used in data centers. It did not disclose the customer, the contract’s start and end dates, or its financial value. LandMark also entered long-term indium phosphide substrate procurement agreements with suppliers in the U.S. and Japan and plans higher capital spending to secure key materials and support capacity for AI-related demand.
