Saber Denies Replacing Rideshare ‘Stimulator’ Writers With ChatGPT

Rideshare “Stimulator,” developed by UNIGINE and published by Saber Interactive, puts passenger stories at the center of an open-world driving game planned for PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S in 2026. Because dialogue and voice performances are central to each trip, claims that generative AI displaced writers and actors carry implications beyond one title. Saber announced the game on July 30, 2026, and former lead writer Stella Sacco said on Aug. 11 that the team replaced her with ChatGPT midway through development and that all passenger voices were AI-generated at the time. On Aug. 12, Saber Chief Executive Matt Karch denied that the publisher had replaced the game’s writers with ChatGPT. The accounts remain unresolved, with no independent evidence yet settling the dispute. Saber has targeted a 2026 release but has disclosed neither a firm launch date nor a price.
