Kdan’s DottedSign Adds TW FIDO for Secure Mobile Signatures

Electronic signatures have become common in online contracts and administrative workflows, but banking, insurance and government services often require stronger identity assurance. Kdan’s DottedSign has integrated Taiwan’s mobile citizen digital certificate, known as TW FIDO, pairing a government-issued digital identity with biometric authentication on smartphones. The upgrade is designed to strengthen legal enforceability, security and proof that a signer cannot later deny authorizing a document.

Kdan said users can now verify their identity with facial recognition or a fingerprint and complete a legally valid digital signature in under 10 seconds. The integration raises DottedSign’s authentication framework from a standard electronic-signature process to a higher-assurance digital-signature standard. Kdan sees applications in financial and insurance transactions, government filings and corporate agreements, though the announcement did not specify an exact launch date, pricing or initial customer deployments.
