Stripe Unveils 288 Products to Power AI Economy
Artificial intelligence is moving beyond software assistance toward agents that can discover products, consume services and initiate payments. That shift matters because legacy financial rails were built for human-approved transactions, not high-frequency micropayments, delegated spending or token theft. Stripe is positioning its payments, wallets, stablecoin settlement and fraud tools as infrastructure for that market. Chief Executive Patrick Collison says AI is the biggest economic platform shift since the internet and expects agents eventually to account for most online transactions.
At Stripe Sessions on April 29, 2026, the San Francisco-based company announced 288 products and features. The package expands Agentic Commerce Suite to Google’s AI Mode and Gemini app, introduces Link wallets for agents to more than 250 million users, and launches streaming payments combining Metronome usage tracking with stablecoin micropayments on the Tempo blockchain. Stripe Treasury can now hold 15 currencies; 4.8 million daily transfers between U.S. Stripe businesses become free and instant. Customers can also earn 2% cash back on card payments, while payouts reach 100 countries in fiat and 160 via stablecoins.
